Goal of the Fauna Society
(as it is written in the Constitution of the Fauna Society)
The goal of individuals and organisations forming Fauna Society is protecting the interests of the wildlife and living beings, improvement of cohabitation or coexistence of man and other creatures in every field covered by the 2nd § of the Hungarian law about Protection of Animals and Consideration for Animals Nr. XXVIII from year 1998. In our view only man is able to solve the problems of cohabitation or coexistence of man and other creatures and this should happen – also for its own good – considering the interests of non-human creatures. These problems are mutual, and can direct both at humans and animals – like animal abuse as a result of wrong animal keeping or disturbing human environment. It is the Society’s goal that the solution should come always by discovering properly the facts and following this with an effective act. To reach this goal Fauna cooperates with other organisations and individuals led by the same goal and helps these organisations and institutions to enforce their rights.
